The waterfalls at the Tatzlwurm splash down with a roar over two cliffs into a small gorge. They are 95 meters high. The air with its water drops often glimmers in rainbow colour. It’s dark and wet down at the gorge and because of the roaring sound you cannot hear your own voice. Could this be the right spot for a dragon?… You get to the waterfalls on a safe path starting from Hotel Feuriger Tatzlwurm.
Forest rope course - Climbing in the trees
This is an offer for the whole family: Enjoy your spare time in an adventure high above the ground in the midst of our beautiful mountains - there´s also a special rope course for kids.
Take a ride with the new chair lift to get to the extra long summer tobogganing course. It takes you on 1100 meters down into the valley over attractive bridges, under fascinating subways, into swinging bends and through the first 360° super round-about. There is a free adventure playground at the mountain station.
Niederaudorf, a district of the Kaiser-Reich village Oberaudorf, was honoured as the German winner of the championship „Our village has future - our village should become more beautiful“ in 2010. Most important criteria: a working village life, a historic center
and nice parks in a harmonic surrounding.
Natural Lakes - also for swimming
These are the closest lakes: Luegsteinsee, Niederaudorfer Badesee, Kreuth See, Hödenauer See, Kieferer See, Hechtsee
Water-skiing (in the next village Kiefersfelden)
Try it out at the water-skiing lift at the Hödenauer See (lake). If you haven’t done it before, take a course. Beginner courses for water-skiing and wakeboarding daily from May to September.
Inn Ferry (in the next village Kiefersfelden)
„Ferryman take me across!” is an expression used between Kiefersfelden and Ebbs. The Inn ferry is tied to a rope and takes you from Kiefersfelden to Ebbs - Eichelwang, which means from Bavaria to Tyrol. Especially hikers and bikers like crossing the river with
the 11 meters long larch-wood ferry. The ferry has 12 seats. You can take your bike for free. The ferry operates daily from May 1st to mid-October from 10 am - 5 pm.
Gießenbachklamm (in the next village Kiefersfelden)
Narrow gorges and their waterways have always been fascinating for people. A very special excursion allowing you to enjoy nature’s beautiful scenery would be a hike through the Gießenbachklamm. Walking through the wild romantic canyon on paths that are beaten
into the rocks, you reach Schopperalm within 30 min. The path was built 100 years ago for the hydroelectric station. It is a safe path, also for children.
Innsola - A leisure-island with sunshine guarantee (in the next village Kiefersfelden)
The attractive swimming-pool and spa in the middle of Kiefersfelden is called „Innsola“. There is a panorama swimming-pool and a pool for children (Wednesday is children‘s day), a relaxation area and an outdoor pool (34° C). Relax in the spa area with different saunas and solariums. Enjoy Bavaria‘s first earth sauna. Or take a bite at the bistro. Summer opening times: 01.05. - 30.09.2011. Saturday and Sunday 9 am - 8 pm. Monday closed. Tuesday and Thursday 11 am - 10 pm. Wednesday and Friday 11 am - 8 pm.
Rafting, cave excursions and more - our region offers spectacular outdoor adventures. Take a ride in a zodiac through a gorge, walk across wild streams or experience the world of caves and combine nature with sports. Special camps for children offer a world
