In winter time the two ski resorts Sudelfeld and Oberaudorf Hocheck offer a lot of fun for skiing and snowboarding. Enjoy the warmth of the cozy huts and mountain inns while taking a breath and having a little rest.
More than 110 years ago the beautiful scenery between Bayrischzell and Oberaudorf has been discovered for skiing. Today the largest connected ski area of Germany offers 3 chair lifts and 18 T-bar lifts and is known for its family friendness. There are ski schools for beginners - regardless if you want to learn with a group or take private lessons.

Skiing, snow boarding, tobbogan - at the Hocheck you can even do this at night. Four times a week you can ski down on Germany´s longest flood ligth slope. And for the ones that like to toboggan at night there´s a 3 km long, lightet and snowed toboggan run. The valley station of the four person chair lift is located directly in the village. Parking is for free. From the railway station it only takes you ten minutes to get here.
Besides the chair lift there are 4 T-bar lifts, that open up 12 km of slopes in every level of difficulty. All important slopes are snowed and perfectly prepared. So the slopes at the Hocheck are guaranteed to have snow. Kids have a special area with a "magic carpet" and funny figures.
